Oral Language in Room 15
This term we are building our oral language skills (speaking and listening) with a roster of ways to share, talk and listen.
On a Monday we all share news with a buddy and have four students sharing a deeper understanding with the class.
On a Tuesday we have four students sharing a proverb with us and explaining what they think it means. We will use these in our handwriting throughout the year.
On a Wednesday Miss Rait will observe students' contributions in inquiry time.
On a Thursday four students will share a quote and do the same as the proverb above.
Finally, on a Friday, four students share a book with Mrs Jones - Book Selling - and will do a write up on a Google Doc for our blog, so we can encourage others to keep reading.
